DR boats - sea fishing / fishing excursions
DR boats is a fishing company foundedin 2000 in the city of Umag. Located on the Istrian peninsula.
Initially the company's activities werefishing usingdiving equipment.
As
the years passed, apart from fishing we started to rent boats
andorganize fishing toursfor tourists as well as fishing trips with rods
and reels, in the summer time.
During the winter in this part
of Istria, every fisherman catches sole (flat fish). This is a special
area because of the sandy bottom (where these fish like to live). Using
special fishing nets, which are kilometers long, we catch sole in huge
quantities. During the rest of the year we use other fishing techniques like – longlining, crab fishing and fishingwith traps,...
This company is small family company (father and son), and depending on fishing activities we are engaging local fishermen. We would like to share our experience(fishing skills) and love for the sea with our guest.
Children are always welcome. Team building or family, friend groups are always welcome.
Davor Rašin – owner of DR Boats is also a skipper and fisherman. Born in Umag 1967. And the young skipper his son Marko Rašin born 2001.
BOAT : Galeb Arausa( Croatian producer) 7 Meter, 20 hp, max 7 pers.,covered with sunshade, toilet, GPS, SONAR. On the boat we also have cold drinks.
Fishing with rods and reels is practiced on the special fishing areas like WRECKS and REEFS,...Type of fish caught there are : Picarels, sea breams, horse mackerels, mackerels, bogues, and various others.
